“Messy play is creative play!” Children can paint, spray water on their painting, squeegee it off, and then do it all over again at the three large windows that cover the two exterior walls. They can also explore rotating art activities. This space allows children to experience art the way artists do, by delighting in and experimenting with materials without the pressure to create anything in particular.
The Messy Room is all about creativity and curiosity.
The big climber has a handicapped accessible walkway with access to the three big pods and interactives. It also has a great view of the main floor.
This space features shoe-free areas for babies and toddlers to explore and play. There are three separate spaces that are bordered by benches for sitting. Make sure to check out our giant light board, toddler-sized climbing “house”, and the tiny library. The space also has murals that feature well-known buildings from St. Joseph. Can you name them all?
The Infant/Toddler Area is all about building connections between young children and the adults who care about them.
